Still nothing over by that frozen yogurt/crackling ice cream spot. I still remember when there was a sit-down Edo over there- that's where I first tried their stuff (I used to eat in the foodcourt location all the time when I worked at Zellers).

Weird question: Anyone have pictures of the upper area of that wing, before the Coin & Stamp moved? I remember there being a little alcove where there was a rug store or something, but I can't quite remember what it looked like?
I remember when the CBIC was where the casino used to be just in the corner then it was supply sargent followed by the coin and stamp place also remember when there was a daycare you had to go down that small hallway that was near the theatre

I was told that the franchisee for both locations, decided to close them due to personal reasons. Sweet Jesus is trying to get both stores reopened as soon as possible.

They look CRAZY abandoned right now. Like, "stuff left on the counters and mess everywhere" abandoned, as if someone was told they weren't getting paid that day and so they just left. It's a bit funny to me, as I had a running gag on here making fun of how the one upstairs at WEM seemed like it was NEVER going to open. I swear it had a "Coming Soon!" sign longer than it was actually open, lol.

So does the juice stand right in front of the water park. I've checked there a couple of times, and you can see mess in the back and stains on things. I think that one was abandoned, too. Unless it's just open every day and I happened to miss it .

The coming soon sign at Sweet Jesus was up for almost a year before they opened. Gem-Oro is boarded up. Not sure if their new location has opened.

What are the longest lasting stores in WEM?

Are many of the original stores still there? (In the original locations?)

I can’t think of any that I miss except for CDN Tire and The Museum Company.

Not sure if that was the original location.

^^^^ Yes The Bay is in it's original opening day location. Watch for another possible closing as I read that Payless Shoe Source is closing it's stores in the U.S.

    What's the Museum Company?

I miss that one Dinosaur-themed shop. I sadly never went into the part with all the big models they had- I wanted to, but my friends never wanted to go. In retrospect, I should have just gone by myself- it probably was only a couple of minutes' worth of stuff, given the size of the location.

Yeah I’m pretty sure it went under in the early 2000s.

Is the Museum Store Company the same thing?

The Brick and London Drugs (in phase 3 since 1985). Trying hard to think of a smaller store in its original location but haven't come up with one yet.

Anyone else remember where Phase 1 ended before Phase 2 was built (near where Mark's is today), and where Phase 2 ended before Phase 3 opened (where the escalators are on the west side of the Ice Palace)?

Phase one ended where the food court turns into Galaxyland.

Okay, I have wondered this for awhile and my pathetic Googling skills seem to have failed me. What are the exact phases?

Phases 1 is everything east of the Galaxy Land Foodcourt.

Phase 2 is between the west side of the ice rink (Microsoft Store) and Phase 1.

Phase 3 is what, to the end of the Pirate Ship? Phase 4 is then the movie theatre, stage/podium thing and that open square area that is currently occupied by a bunch of stalls? Do I have that right?

Was Galaxy Land built and opened alongside Phase 2? And then WWP built and opened alongside Phase 3?
Twenty one, thirty one, and seven twenty-seven.

Phase 3 went to the 178 side of the mall. Phase 4 was the repurposing of the old Woodwards space that occupied the westernmost part of the mall

Awhile back they announced closures in the U.S and now all Payless Shoe source stores are closing in Canada. More hoarding to put up @ W E M

Holy cow- THE BRICK looks to be moving! There's a sign on the upper level of the old Sears that says the Brick is coming there in Summer 2019.

Gemoro's store looks good. I liked the look of the old one, but it was SO dated- that style of shop front, with the pastel coloring and columns... it was very 1980s. That store was always odd, though- they'd close up most of the doors even during mall hours, and sometimes looked to be closed before the mall did, which I'm pretty sure is a huge no-no here.

Vitalix or whatever it is looks to be moving across from the Rec Room- just a vertical leap.

Looks like someone at least cleaned off the counter of Sweet Jezus. JusFRUIT (the one in front of the waterpark) is definitely closed, though. Who left the one machine plugged in? Talk about a waste of power .

If the Brick is moving to the Sears space, what becomes of the Brick's old space? That is, other than a revamping of part of the mall that's been stagnant since the mid-1980s...

I wonder why JusFRUIT closed that location by the elevators. When it was open, there were a lot of customers there. Maybe it was just too small of a space

While there last weekend, the Disney Store manager asked if I was adding to my collection that day, then mentioned that my bag "Is quite a bit bigger than your Lion King bag".

It's possible I shop here too much.

Actually I think they just may be relocating, since Pottery Barn doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Usually when they leave a particular market, they take all they're brands with them. I do know that they've been closing some locations across North America, but those are in areas where they have other locations.

^ Yes... it's shocking how many stores are shuttering @ W E M. However that's the way retail is these days. I noticed this morning that Anne Louise jewelry is closing as well. Doesn't surprise me as really how many times do you buy jewelry ?
