I have C2E in Firefox and I could go to that page with no problems at all. But when I transferred the URL to Chrome, I got the same message you did. So, yes, it is reproducible.

    Tries IE. Nope nothing there.

BTW, I use Norton 360 as my primary virus checker and it didn't alert on any of the three browsers.

I'm not sure why Chrome would say the site has malware. Web of Trust even gives it a green rating. Oh, well.

Tried www.pacificaviationmuseum.org in all 4 browsers on my computer.
It gets blocked by Firefox and Chrome.
It does not get blocked by Internet Explorer nor by Safari.

I get that same message in Chrome, when going to Page 2, like you mentioned. Otherwise, never had it come up on C2E before at all.

The problem isn't with C2E on any browser. It's a problem with that particular page.

We have been fighting a similar problem at the Aviation Museum for about 7 months.

Aviation Museums around the world have been getting targeted due to the volume of web visits as I have been advised.

In our case the google cache has been corrupted and it ends up with advertising links running over our links on a google search.

We have been messaging google and while it is taking forever it seems to be getting solved.

Interesting world we live in "id n it"?

I mostly use Google Chrome and haven't seen anything like this. Try deleting your browsing history and cleaning out the cache/temp internet folders.

Have you checked that particular site, Cal76? That is the issue here, not C2E in general. I don't have anything in my Chrome cache and yet when I went to that particular link, I got the same message.

I clicked on the link and it works now. This was the first time that warning page had shown since I've had Chrome. Didn't do anything with the cache, either.

Messages from the aviation crowd must have gotten through to Google then.

I use Chrome mostly to play TV programs. I have an add-on that eliminates the commercials and it seems to stream more smoothly than the other three browsers.

Thanks, Eve. That'll come in mightily handy as I'm planning to get off Optik onto some streaming service. Got any recommendations? And what's the commercial zapper you have?

The commercial zapper is Ad Block (you load it from inside Chrome). I stream from the established sites: GlobalTV has one on which I watch Good Wife, CTV has one which offers me half a dozen shows, HGTV has a selection of housing porn (I like this during meals because it's so fluffy and non-gory).

But I also have a subscription to Netflix. For a derisory monthly fee, you can keep entertained for hours and hours. I'm currently going through Doctor Who. It's what is going to make my Xmas season bearable. I watch quite a bit of this in bed on my iPad what with it not having any commercials.

I don't worry about an absence of channels because I can still watch more TV than is good for me without resorting to utter dreck.

Not just chrome, Safari throws a warning on the direct image link although not on the thread itself.

Lately I've been getting an audio message about fashion on this site. I did a virus scan with no virus found.

Yeah, I proceeded through the warning to check which photo was responsible. The 360celsius site must've had some problems in the past couple of days as that hotlink didn't bring up any warnings when it was first posted.

BTW, I don't if any malware affecting a hotlink can spread to this site, so it's better to identify the problem rather than having Admin look for it.

Getting a malware message concerning an image from zeospot.com in this post: http://www.connect2edmonton.ca/forum...&postcount=238

Looking at their website, the content isn't a problem but it could be that something snuck in.

^Yes, it's the same thread. One of the images in post 238 is linked to a site that's having some malware problems.

I realize this is an old post but if it happens to anyone else I this should be helpful:

I got this recently with the city of Edmonton site, I found after a bit of research the problem (for me anyway) had something to do with my computer having the wrong time. Chrome though because of the site certificate dates not matching that I was under a "man-in-the-middle" attack. It wasn't as firefox worked and Chrome once I updated my desktop time.
