Default Ward 9 Candidate News & Rumours

I'm new to the Ward as of March so I haven't heard much in the way of candidate news going into this election. Does anyone know if Anderson is planning on running again, as he is 70? Are there any other potential or declared candidates at this point?

I believe I read somewhere last week that Anderson is running again. Although I don't have anything to back that up, and I'm almost positive that last election he said that he wouldn't run again.

Haven't heard anything about any other candidates.

Considering we'll be seeing at least 4 new councilors this election, I'm glad we've got a few seeking re-election. Some stability is not a bad thing.

There's stability, and then there's solidification. Time for Brian to retire so he can take his naps somewhere other than council chambers.

Still no competition for Bryan yet is there? I haven't found any.

I'm not impressed by a candidate using a hotmail account. I call it "notmail"/

Sadly, your list is from 2010. Still no competition for Bryan. Hope someone steps up soon! I'd do it, but it's just not possible with my kids at the age they're at. Maybe next time.

    Bryan A wins

Andrew Gorman as a candidate was a joke. Not very effective, wasn't aware of the issues.

    Not surprised with that turnout.

I'd bet he knew he was going to lose (the odds of beating an incumbent are slim), and was mostly running this time to get his name out there for next time around when (I assume) Bryan Anderson will not be running.
