    Default Slow responses from Admin

    All,

I've been asked why some responses of late are slow. First off this is a volunteer board, so most here do have jobs and families, so they get to this board when they can.

Also, I underwent very major surgery February 21, and recovery has been harder than expected. I spent a couple weeks in the hospital and I was on home recovery afterward. I was rushed back to the hospital Thursday and I now have several post op clots, one that has made it into a pulmonary embolism. I am still an inpatient, so I will only be checking in when I can.

I ask for your patience for new user approvals and report posts. I will get to it, it just may take a little more time than normal.

    Thanks everyone.

It is simply amazing how, even with my leg torn up and rebuilt yet again, that these clots hurt the most. This is incredibly debilitating. It simply takes my breath, and energy, away.

    In case you're curious...

    Distal Femur

    What's left of a tibia

Drilled up from the heel and fusing the Talus (you can see the drill wound)

No more revealing shorts for me!

Simply....ow...makes me kind of grumpy some days, and with the cold...it is even worse...

    First wishing a speedy recovery.

Second, thanks for keeping this site running, as I do find it helpful when I have questions, or just to browse what's happening around the City.

As someone mention, this is just the Internet, life is more important, so really you don't owe anyone an explanation or apologies.

This is the replacement for the previous one that broke. I have this due to a fight with a grade III osteosarcoma of my proximal left tibia. Tumor was 7 cm wide, 22 cm long, and about 5 cm high at the tibial head.

Wow, I guess this would be the definition of invasive surgery. I won't be complaining about my minor aches and pains anytime soon.
