    Default Daily Deals

If you're reading this thread you are obviously a foodie, howver i'm certain most of us like to be fiscally responsible while doing it. I know many restaurants have deals on certain nights of the week and thought i'd start a thread where we could all share. I'll startand hopefully others can add to the list

Moose Factory - 2 for 1 steak on Mondays
Moose Factory - steak and lobster tail $29.95 Tues/Fri
Chianti - $9.99 Pasta special, 40 different pastas to choose from

Will never go to Moose Factory again - never mind their supposed deals.

Twice not just disappointed; treated like I must be stupid.

Winning formula apparently. GF was especially pleased.

I never knew Foodies go for quantity and cheap eats over quality...

Moose Factory disappointed every time I go.. with the competitive dining experience here in Edmonton I'm surprised they're still around while the likes of Jack's Grill have disappeared.

What's so bad about Moose Factory ?

Top_Dawg gets dragged out by the bulls several times every year.

    It's always real busy.

Every time he's gone the lounge is packed and the restaurant is almost full.

And Top_Dawg has always found the food and service to be very good

'Course under the circumstances he's never had to pay for it.

If it was within staggering distance from his crib he would probly be a regular.

And how would you like your prime rib sir?

    Medium rare

    Very good sir

    Delivers well done.

Me: But I ordered medium rare

He: That's all we had left.

    Exit stage left ...

So yesterday Top_Dag was on Whyte Avenue enjoying game 7 of the St. Louis - Chicago series.

Three nice cold Canadians at O2's during pre-game.

Four cold ones at BPs during the first period.

Three nice cold ones at Rosie's during the second.

Couple of cold ones at The Keg watching the third.

    New bartender at the Keg.

Thought Top_Dawg was half in the bag and tried to short change him from a fiddy.

Top_Dawg caught him and smacked his pee pee.

    Can't fool Top_Dawg.

    Blackhawks lost.

Top_Dawg ambled up the street to Chianti's.

It was well after the rush - place was mostly empty.

One table with poodles lingering around, all sloppy pi$$ed on wine.

    Top_Dawg ordered Penne Alla Gigi.

    It was alright.

Neither the service nor the food was all that great.

    But not awful either.

    Just meh.

    Repeat ?

    Not for a long time.

Next time he will stick with his first instinct and go to Royal.

Top_Dawg caught a cab back to his Mill Creek pad.

    And promptly passed out.

Wow you are the Top Dawg. Not many places in this city where I could order, drink then pay for that many beer and make it to the next establishment, each in under an hour!! I have a hard time getting one beer and paying the bill at most watering holes.

Well there was a little bit of overlap.

Top_Dawg missed about ten minutes of the game.
