Default History of Forest and Prairie Fire Control

Came across this 1985 publication. It's loaded with interesting information. Comments like the increase in air flights seemed to be causing more forest fires because of the cigars and cigarettes being tossed out the windows.

Also includes tables of annual lang burned by fire from 1919 on, lots of old pictures, etc.

Cool find. At Cooking Lake Blackfoot Provincial recreation area (south of Elk Island), the "Friends of Blackfoot" have reinstalled a historic fire watch tower near the Waskahegan Staging area if you want to see one in person.
My antidepressent drug of choice is running. Cheaper with less side effects!
