    You left out 109th street but otherwise that pretty well sums it up. I've been downtown since 81 and I can tell you I've seen a huge difference. It went from vibrant to nearly deserted in the 80s and that's why people, including the mayor were thrilled to see a Tim's or Starbucks open up downtown. It was that bad. A combination of West Edmonton Mall, an anti-business mayor, a mayor of Calgary masquerading as the premier, LRT construction causing traffic closures and of course another downturn in oil prices. No downtown can survive that. Then there was the Leduc airport vs City Centre. It was bad. Now it's amazing. I hope that it will continue to grow, not just with condos but offices too.
