Definitely going to check out Reverend Horton Heat again. Not familiar with too many of the performers but sounds like a good time. I've wanted to attend this one before.

Edmonton music festival directors should be taking notes. That is a fabulous line-up. Louise Burns is great, Change of Heart F U K yeah! Can't wait to see what kind of new venues Brent has up his sleeve.

Mike Ross at Gigcity with his picks for Up + Downtown: http://www.gigcity.ca/2017/10/04/mus...t-see-at-updt/

The show at DECL is gonna be a gooder. Weaves are playing at Halifax Pop Explosion this year as well. I Am Machi are a great local act.

That DECL space should be hosting shows like this more often. Preferably all ages as there isn't such a venue downtown just now and it fits with the Downtown for Everyone sloganeering.

Just a question from a non DT resident. Is Michael Phair park and Beaverhill park one and the same? For the free gig what is the capacity of the area at Michael Phair park?

Too bad of the venues used that Reverend Horton Heat have to be at the Starlite. That's a dealbreaker for me. Deplorable facility, have to buy a membership, lineups, bad service, crowded and pretty much a firetrap.

^ those parks are separated by an alley way. Michael Phair is more of a pocket park.

    ^^as mentioned, different, but connected.

I love Starlite, so many memories, reminds me of many venues in Tor/Mtl/NYC.

Starlite's not my favourite either. But the memories cannot be denied - Antibalas, New Pornographers etc.

Some more competition from other similar sized venues would improve things tremendously (cough downtown New City cough)
