Default How long for a Building Permit?

Looking at the first stages of a new house build and curious if anyone can shed some insight on how long a building permit takes to get approved in edmonton?

Depends on how lucky you are.
If you have no variances, or nothing crazy that requires SDAB, it could be anywhere from 3-6 months to get full permits. Development permits in maybe half that time and that allows you to excavate and pour. Some builders do all the framing once they have the DP and call for the framing inspection as soon as the construction permit is in hand.

Wow, three to six months. Strathcona County would be more like 2-3 weeks.
