    Default 2019 Municipal Census

Did anyone not get their PIN by letter in the mail to complete the census online?

I got mine on Wednesday, and went online to complete the census for our household earlier this morning.

Have to say, it was a breeze. Probably took me as long to put the PIN in the online form as it did to answer the few simple questions about the number of persons in my household and their gender and age.

Compared to filling out most City surveys, at the end of it, I was left feeling is this all there's to it.

I got mine on Wednesday. Couldn't get beyond the gender question - no answer would enable the Next button. I emailed the contact and haven't heard anything beyond a "we got your message" message.

I briefly noted a bit of similar wonkiness with the census, but was able to get around it fairly quickly. I don't recall exactly where, as it was just a brief hiccup, but maybe when it was asking for date of birth info. Might be worth trying with a different browser or something. Otherwise it was all of 90 seconds to respond.

I just tried again and it went quickly, only 3 questions. The birthdate-gathering sequence looked diffferent than the first time I tried. Somebody didn't test the button dynamics thoroughly enough before release.

We got ours. My husband did it.

The gender question was so dumb that in protest we filled in random ones for each of our family members.

Expect more gender neutral washrooms in your neighbourhood then.

The census is what they base those kind of decisions on, so it's not really that funny.
