Will you have people ensuring that all food coming into the park is from Filistix or can people bring in something else (or nothing at all)?

You do realize Ian that there's a dedicated ADP thread (that you started) already: http://www.connect2edmonton.ca/showt...d-102ave/page9

But then, you're no stranger to cross-posting are you?

You don't get to almost 50K in posts on C2E without spam-crossposting!

You still haven't answered the question. Is this event limited to people who have purchased a meal at the specified restaurant or can you brown bag it or even go hungry?

This would be a great event to help raise donations (food or money) for the needy in the area... Can I assume that this is already in place or was an oversight and will be added? Downtown has seen a ton of investment, but none of it has helped out less fortunate. Perhaps if Downtown wanted to show it actually cares, rather than hiding them under the carpet, we could use this event to raise money! How about that?

Don't be silly Medwards. "Downtown for everyone" obviously does't include "them". It's means "Downtown for everyone with money".

^I've probably had more people in my backyard for a Barbecue..

Never have all this lead up promotion though.

The take out restaurant must have made killer business.

Reminds me not to pay too much attention to whatever is being hyped up here in another IanO thread.

    What a non starter event.

ps Is there a reason they don't just extend the 2X4 seating all the way across on the lovely (sarcasm) concrete benches. Design fail. One person spreads out their foodies and items on the bench and another sitting on the concrete. jebus.

Uniformly flat surfaces in parks attract two things: skateboarders & people sleeping rough. ADP doesn't seem to use the typical protuberances that are common to break up the surfaces, so perhaps that's it?
