Default New Anti-spam bot measures in place

Please post here if you or anyone you know is having difficulty registering for a new account. Hopefully these measures will cut down the number of bots.

I didn't have any problems registering but I was looking at the forum today and was intrupted by supper and other things. When I came back the forum forgot my username and password so I had to dig up my password and re-register.
    Edmonton first, everything else second.

That kind of re-registering is normal.

Jim has a similar kind of problem but with a long post.. and he lost it. Yikes! I am going to increase the session timeout length to hopefully cut down on the number of these issues.

I don't know about you, but I seem to be getting way more SPAM emails now than I did before the new law was enacted.

This thread has nothing to do with anti-spam laws.

(and the anti-spam laws in Canada are a joke anyways. This is what happens when you have a bunch of gray hairs politicians decide they want to fix something they have no control over)

it was good for a photo op though and in the end thats all that matters. (see distracted driving laws, pretty sure there were already laws in place to cover those offenses.)

Oh boy. This almost is a record for how septic a conversation can get. I'm going to close this one.
