^^ The name might have changed but the Marquee building still holds a daycare.

As for the ALCB, they stopped retailing as far as I know, about the time of the Tornado.

ALCB sold off the stores '93-94, a good while after the tornado.

^ Thanks for clearing that up. Early '90's. The good old days.

Thanks, that's probably the one I was thinking of.

I remember spending entire afternoons at the downtown A&B Sound. I browsed through various CDs in the alternative and classic rock selections and ended up buying some of them. This was back in the good old days before the internet and YouTube. It's been many years since I last bought any music. Next time I make that purchase, it will likely be classical or jazz.

I remember Club Trend, a nightclub for minors that didn't serve alcohol, and barred over-18s from entering. I think it was located in the old Studio 82 porn theatre on Whyte, just west of Mill Creek Bridge.

I also seem to recall that that same building hosted a similar kids-only club under the name "Studio 82", but can't recall if that was before or after Club Trend.

The media, as I recall, ran reports describing these clubs as safe places for kids to hang out, though I do recall some dispute about this among the general public.
